Aquatic Adventure Camp on Taunton Bay 2026
Explore the shores of Taunton Bay and discover the many sea plants and animals that live and adapt to the space beneath the waves.
Learn about seals who bask on the rocks, sea urchins and star fish peeking out from beneath the rocks and horseshoe crabs scurrying amongst the seaweed.
Spend a day at CCAR with specialists sharing their knowledge and expertise of aquatic research, right here on Taunton Bay.
It is the mission of the Sullivan Parks and Recreation Committee to provide facilities, spaces and programs that will help to enrich the lives of all its residents and visitors.

The committee will coordinate accessible recreation opportunities for citizens of all ages.

The committee will monitor the recreational assets belonging to the Town of Sullivan and will recommend improvements and/or maintenance as appropriate to the Select Board and Town Manager.

With Select Board approval, the committee will seek to collaborate with other organizations and or providers to enhance recreational programs offered by the town.

The committee will regularly communicate with the residents of the town to encourage recreational activity and promote use of the town parks and facilities.

The committee will be responsible for organizational oversight of the Sullivan Daze Planning Committee

The Parks and Recreation Committee will be comprised of eight voting members to include:
– Seven at-large members. Four, 2-year term of office. Three, 3-year term of office.
– A representative from the Sorrento – Sullivan Recreation Center Committee (voting member, 2-year term of office).
– A high school student representative from the Town of Sullivan (non-voting).
– Selectboard representative (non-voting).
– Town Manager (non-voting)
